WHY FOUND A RALLY MUSEUM IN FINLAND?

Finns are known to be rally enthusiasts. We have more rally world champions than anywhere else in the world, and we organise a variety of traditional and prestigious competitions. The Mobilia automobile and road museum is the perfect home for a new Rally Museum; after all, rally is an exceptional discipline in the world of motorsports in which the drivers compete on the same roads that the general public uses to get home from work every day! Rally racing is truly the people’s sport, and that is why we believe that it deserves finally to have a museum of its own in Finland.

The legendary Simo Lampinen, four-time Finnish Rally Champion and three-time winner of the Jyväskylä Grand Prix, is patron of the Rally Museum.

2. Make the payment using your preferred method. You will receive an order confirmation as well as instructions on how to redeem your rewards via email.

3. Tell your friends about the campaign, too! For example, share this page on Facebook or Twitter.

4. The Rally Museum opens to the public on 17 June 2016. Welcome!

WHY START A CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN?

Founding the Rally Museum is a big deal. Mobilia Automobile Village is a private museum run by the Mobilia Foundation. As a national specialised museum we receive funding from the government, but we finance a large part of our operations independently. In order to create a fine museum complex as we believe that rally folks deserve, we need your help. We don’t ask for donations. Instead, we aim to raise the necessary funds via presale of tickets and reward products, so that we can create and implement the exhibition to the planned extent. Of course, the more funds we raise, the better the overall result will be!

WHAT WILL THE RALLY MUSEUM CONTAIN?

All sorts of things! We have designed a comprehensive cross-section of the history and greatest moments of the sport to be displayed at the Rally Museum. The Rally Museum will be founded within Mobilia in any case, but the implementation of the plan within the intended scope and schedule requires a successful crowdfunding campaign. By taking part in this campaign, you are helping to make the museum a top-notch experience from the opening day!

The plan of the future Rally Museum

The plan of the future Rally Museum

If we reach our minimum target of €30.000, the museum will let you see and experience at least:

The history of rally racing from the early 1900s up until the present day. We will present the beginnings of the sport from an international perspective, as well as the history of Finnish rally from the 1950s, when the first Rally Finland was held (then known as the Jyväskylä Grand Prix). In addition, we will describe the evolution of the rally car from the 1950s till the present day – not forgetting interesting titbits such as the infamous Group B.

The icons of rally. We spotlight the sport’s most iconic cars and Finnish drivers. We present cars such as the Ford Escort, the Mini Cooper S and the Audi, and drivers such as Timo Mäkinen, Rauno Aaltonen, Pauli Toivonen and Simo Lampinen, who were the first to be nicknamed the Flying Finns, thanks to their achievements in the 1960s.

Rally racing in extreme conditions. Through the two extremes, we illustrate the variety of conditions in which rally races are organised. We present both the desert rallies and the winter rallies. We use the Arctic Lapland Rally and the Paris-Dakar Rally as examples.

Simo Lampinen, patron of the Rally Museum, also drove his Saab in winter rallies.

Safety issues associated with rally. We will report on the accidents that have occurred in the sport, from the drivers’ as well as the spectators’ perspectives. At the same time, we describe the evolution of the various safety equipment.

Rally car competition servicing. Just a few decades ago the service and maintenance point for rally cars was simply a van parked in the woods. In the exhibition you can see what a service point used to look like!

The International Rally Hall of Fame. The Rally Hall of Fame, already located in Mobilia, will become part of the Rally Museum. New rally drivers and other persons who have had a great influence on rallying are inducted into the Rally Hall of Fame every year. We tell the life stories of the inductees and present a changing collection of the inductees’ cars, prizes, racing gear, seats and many more items that are guaranteed to catch the eye of every rally man and woman.

Walter Röhrl and Hannu Mikkola celebrated their induction into the Rally Hall of Fame in 2011.

A new kind of rally simulator. For those with an appetite for speed, we offer a chance to experience the feeling of driving in a real rally car with a completely new kind of rally simulator! The rally simulator will be developed together with the University of Tampere.

ADDITIONAL GOALS

The contents of the exhibition as described above will be implemented if we can reach €30.000, which is the minimum target of the campaign. But that’s not all! If the minimum target is exceeded, we can make the Rally Museum an even better experience!

€50.000 – THE RALLY MUSEUM ACQUIRES THE WINNING CAR OF THE FIRST RALLY FINLAND

If we can reach €50.000, we will purchase for the Rally Museum’s collection – and begin the restoration of – the Austin Atlantic that won the 1951 Jyväskylä Grand Prix. This car is an indivisible part of the Finnish rally history, and we want to give it a worthy forever home in the Rally Museum. This is possible if we can gather the required 50.000 Euros.

80 000 € – A COLLECTOR’S PIECE FOR THE BOOKCASE OF EVERY RALLY FAN

If we reach the overall target of €80.000, we will produce a Finnish-language book on the history of rally and rally cars in collaboration with Marko Mäkinen. Marko Mäkinen is a long-time journalist and photographer, whose stunning images of rally cars and racing throughout the years deserve to be gathered into a book. The book presents the most important cars of Finnish rally history and tells the history of the sport in Finland as well as abroad. The picture oriented book contains a feast for the eyes of every connoisseur. No true rally fan can miss out on this gem!

If we reach the overall target, we promise a numbered and signed copy of this book to every sponsor who redeems a reward package of at least 125 Euros. The sponsors who participate in the campaign by purchasing a reward package worth 15 to 50 Euros won’t be left empty-handed either! They get access to a digital online version of the book. This is a book you won’t want to miss, so make sure we reach the target and become a sponsor of the Rally Museum today!

HOW WILL THE CROWDFUNDING REVENUES BE SPENT?

We guarantee that all of the crowdfunding revenues will go directly towards founding the Rally Museum, i.e. ensuring that Finnish rally folks get a museum worthy of their national sport. The proceeds will cover the costs of building the exhibition, content creation, acquiring the latest exhibition technology and restoring the vehicles intended for the exhibition. As additional targets are met, the income will be used to acquire a rally car that is undoubtedly one of the jewels of Finnish rally history, as well as produce a high-quality publication in collaboration with Marko Mäkinen.

A couple of years ago I created Latte Café On the Road concept. The idea was simple: To bring tasty specialty coffee to all coffee lovers and also allowed people to come for a cheeky cup of something good and a soulful chat. In the same spirit as in Latte Café and Latte Gourmand in Turku. What we needed was a prototype of the bike.

It was a nice challenge and we managed to bring our concept to life. Our bike is more than just a coffee trike. It is a lifestyle, a way to improve leisure and freedom of choice. To meet people and serve our quality products on a street level and in city parks in order to create a good, lively vibe everywhere needed.

Café On the Road on the road! Helsinki & Turku 2015

Café On the Road on the road! Helsinki & Turku 2015

We can bring you that little something that could change your day. But we need to improve our concept with better logistics, and also a more sustainable source of energy for our on-the-road concept is needed.

The generator is questioning its existence.

The generator is questioning its existence.

Today we aim towards building more bikes and have our own logistic to be able to go towards people. We have not been able to respond to demands for the last couple of years (weddings, fairs, barbecue parties), as people are calling us for events and we cannot respond the demands that we are experiencing. This is mainly because we only have one bike so far and no solutions available for transporting them on longer distances. It is our ambition to build two to three more fully equipped coffee bikes and a find a way to transport them near and far.

From our bike we offer:

Americano
Latte
Cappuccino
Ghetto Latte
Panama Twist
Hot chocolate
Chai Latte
Dirty Chai
Specialty Teas
Iced Coffee and Teas and much more…

So, we ask you to help us to reach our goals and become a part of creating good coffee experiences for everybody to enjoy.

Note! If the campaign doesn’t reach its’ minimum goal we will refund you. However, the Holvi payment service’s fee is subtracted from the funded sum (0.90 euros or credit card 0.90 euros + 3% funded sum).

This autumn the céilí team Cailíní Nordacha of Irish dance school inSpiral Dance Company Finland qualified for the 2016 World Championships of Irish Dancing which take place in Glasgow, Scotland. The eight members of the team now need financial support for travelling to Glasgow, as well as for covering the accommodation costs during the competition and for upgrading their competition outfits.

Cailíní Nordacha

The members of our team live in four different cities (Helsinki, Tampere, Vaasa and Jyväskylä) in Finland, so on top of dance studio rents also travelling to dance team practice mounts up the costs during the practice period leading up to the competition.  Despite being in different situations in their lives, the eight members of the team – aged from 24 to 40 years – are united in their love for Irish dance and are keen to show that there are talented Irish dancers also in Finland. The team leader is Nelli Sinisalo and the dancers are students, engineers and everything in between.
We aim to practice every two weeks, as the travel expenses are too high and we can’t afford to travel between the cities more often, as we should have to get the best results and improve our group dancing skills.

Irish Dance

Irish dance has developed from traditional folk dancing and it has become famous worldwide because of the Irish dance show Riverdance. Nowadays Irish dance is a popular hobby around the world. It is also traditionally very competitive and the main event of the sport is the World Championship competition arranged yearly over the Easter week. During the competition week thousands of dancers from 10-year-olds to adults compete in both group and solo categories.

Our team has competed in the World Championships of Irish Dancing once before and at the moment it is the best placing Irish dance team in Finland, so the expectations are high also this time. In November 2015 the team took part in the Mainland Europe Championships in Milan placing fourth in competition. The team also won the Nordic Championship at the Nordic Feis competition arranged in October 2015 in Turku.

Our team represents Finland

in the World Championships of Irish Dancing 2016 and though the sport may not be very well known in Finland, it is very popular elsewhere in the world. We now have the chance to realise our dream, and we also promote Finland by being the only Finnish team in the competition. We ask your support for covering the costs of the travel arrangements. Even a small donation helps and we are grateful for all the support given.

The minimum target sum would cover the eight team members’ flights to Scotland, and the maximum target sum would also pay for our accommodation in Glasgow, as well as part of the practice period costs such as the dance studio rents.

What is Chernobyl 1986?

A music play written by Esko Vähätalo and created by Tina Salminen da Costa, which tells the touching story of a family that experienced the nuclear disaster in Tsernobyl 26th April 1986. In year 2016 it will be 30 years since the accident.

Why are we doing this?

The play will be presented in English. In order to make the show as authentic as possible, we work with a Tsernobyl-specialist, Juliana Mannila, who was born in Ukraine.

To make this happen, we need?

We need financial support. Chernobyl in 1986 has mandatory costs such as payment of venue rent’s, technology, traveling, props, costumes and masking, marketing etc. However, we do it all with a minimum budget. The most important thing is that the project gets done and on stage.

HOW CAN YOU HELP US?

– You can buy our products and services! Proceeds will go entirely to the Chernobyl1986-play.
– You can tell about us in the social media or if you have, your website or blog.
– You can recommend us to friends and acquaintances entrepreneur!

WHAT IF – things?:

– We need 3,000 euros in order to pay the first venue rent (Alexander Theatre, Helsinki, Finland). We use the simplest of lighting and sound equipment, since the objective is that our team work around a number of stages.
– If we reach our goal of 7000 eur, we will be able to hold additional screenings as well as to invest part of the money for marketing.
– If we DO NOT receive EUR 3,000, we shall present the play in one of Helsinki-based parking lot’s. Naked.

Purpose of this campaign is to gather enough money to send Nina Kantoniemi to aid with the situation Nina will work there full time for three months with those in need of urgent aid. This campaign will gather money that’s needed for accommodation. By supporting Nina we will keep you up to date with what achieved with your contribution. Supporting Nina is a good choice if you can’t go yourself or you want directly support the practical aid work in Greece.

Why Greece?

There is 57,141 refugees stuck in Greece. Conditions they live in are in many ways bad (www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2016/04/refugees-trapped-in-greece/ ) and new refugees arrive daily. Because of the bad economy country can’t fill the need for humanitarian aid: people of all ages including children and elderly live month after month in unhygienic and unsafe environments without enough food. In Greece a big part of filling even the basic needs of the refugees is done by volunteers and new volunteers are needed all the time.

Why Nina?

Nina has been actively working with the refugees for the last year. In her practical work she has been able to hone her skills and develop new ones. Likely the most important quality Nina has is her willingness to learn new and to adapt according to the situation. Most important thing for her is to do what is needed currently. Because of it Nina has been doing everything between practical aid work to coordinating the said aid. For example, she has sorted and distributed clothes, fed thousands, given advanced first aid, organized aid work, educated volunteers and liaised with the officials. Nina’s willingness to help comes from her belief of humanity and her thinking that everyone has a right to be safe and supported. Because of her being able to go, she feels that it is her duty to go and help in practice.

Where?

Number of the arriving refugees changes from day-to-day. The refugees are also transferred inside of the country. Because they can’t continue their journey and amount of the arrivals is smaller than last year, the biggest need at the moment is in refugee camps. A large amount of the aid work is done by small and medium  sized grass root organisations. Because of their relatively small size  they can change and adapt easily. This is why Nina is planning on working with one of the medium sized organisations. Because the situation in Greece changes all the time being able to change instantly with it is really important. However this kind of smaller organisations can’t compensate expenses to their volunteers and that’s the reason we created this campaign.

The organisation Nina will work with isn’t decide yet because Nina has decided to take into account what people who have volunteered in Greece are saying and wait until July before deciding exact place and trough that the organisation. No matter where exactly it will be, Nina will work full time to give the support to those needing it.

Expenses this campaign is covering

Accommodation in Greece will cost between 300-600 euros per month depending on the location and if receiving organisation can offer accommodation (for a fee). Campaign will cover accommodation for 3 months. If there is anything left after that, it will go towards paying supplies that are needed at that time. Nina will pay traveling and food costs from the money she has saved for this trip.

Norpas on tavallisille ihmisille suunnattu epätavallinen festivaali

Tämän vuoden festivaalin pääartisteja ovat mm. tuareg-artisti Mdou Moctar Nigeristä, espanjalainen Proscritos DF -duo multi-instrumentti esityksineen, Värttinä, M.A. Numminen ja Pedro Hietanen, Esko Männikkö, Mika Kaski & Tapani Rinne sekä fantastiset elävällä musiikilla säestetyt mykkäelokuvaesitykset. Koko ohjelmisto löytyy nettisivuiltamme.

Joukkorahoituskampanja on eräänlainen ennakkomyynnin ennakkomyynti, jossa jokaisessa vastineessa on pieni alennus. Minimitavoitteeseen pääseminen kattaa vastineiden tuotantokulut, siitä ylimenevä osuus on tervetullut lisä festivaalin järjestelykustannusten kattamiseen.

Vastineet saat tapahtuman aikaan festivaalitoimistosta.
Tervetuloa!

How does it feel when you´ve got time but nothing more? Why can´t it all be just normal and simple? Where to go when you don´t even know where to start? Why is Ville always carrying a Leatherman? What was V-P`s first thought when he finally got a job at the warehouse? Why did Ville leave to Italy to meditate? And by the way, who is Sylvia?

Ville, Karjaa, Finland. 12.12.2014.

For these questions you´ll find an answer from our book which tells how it is when life seems to be standing still when everyone else is taking steps forward.

Ville, Karjaa, Finland. 12.12.2014.

The documentary project started from the want to undestand what it means to be socially excluded and marginalized in today´s success-driven society. For this we followed Finnish men between the ages of 20 and 30 who are living in the outskirts of Finnish welfare society. Some of the young men had dropped out of education, others had never started their studies. Working life seemed distant. The boys hoped to find something meaningful, but they didn’t know where to look for it, what to look for, and why.

Ville, Karjaa, Suomi.

Young inactive men are a recurring topic in Finnish mainstream media. In news reports, they are seen as a societal problem. We wanted to look at these men as individuals, to hear their voices and to see their everyday personal lives. We sat on their couches for dozens of hours and discussed. We  followed their lives and photographed them.

Along the way it got more than clear how stigmatizing, one-eyed and from top defined the whole concept social exclusion is. In the end the project became an universal research about finding your place in the world and the search for acceptance, love and yourself.

The book will be released both in English and Finnish in June 2016. It will be published by Raw View Books.

I became attached to the violin from early childhood. Since then the instrument has followed me everywhere, finally ending up being my profession and highest ambition. My work trips have passed through the Egyptian Revolution and North Korea; I have played at gipsy camp fires in Russia and composed music at the roots of the Great Pyramids. I have had a unique chance to get to know different people, instruments and new ways of musical expression from around the world. It is amazing how flexibly violin suits to every country and its culture!

My life as a violinist has been a turmoil with different music projects, competitions, recordings and trips. I have been producing music to Finnish Gymnastic Events (Helsinki Ice Hall YLE 2, Nordic Evening of Gymnaestrada 14th July 2015), and been exposed in media from the context of rock- and festival concerts, the latest big event being the 50-yrs anniversary Gala Concert of Jari Sillanpää at Helsinki Olympic Stadion in 2015. I have worked also with Tarja Turunen, Paleface and concert organist Kalevi Kiviniemi – violin goes hand in hand with rap, pop and classical music as well!

I am facing now a fascinating challenge of my debute album Magic Violin, which brings up my 35-year- long career as a violinist. Because of the vast range of my music experience, the album is divided in four separate sections, articulated as four main directions of compass. The pieces played in the release – covers, traditional tunes and original compositions – take their form and content from different corners of the world, offering a window to violin music from opposite geographical and cultural environments. I have worked on these pieces together with the great cinema music composer, rock singer and music producer Samuli Laiho.

Magic Violin tells my story blending sensuous, dynamic and spicy musical features into an exciting cocktail. I can’t wait to deliver this spectrum to You!

MAGIC VIOLIN’S PRODUCTION

I have been carving these pieces of music into my album step by step, aside the rest of the production and performance work. Five out of seven pieces have been completed during 2012-15. I have mainly financed the production by myself, while hiring a team of top professionals to do the recording and guest instrument parts. Sometimes the pieces have been born out of a client’s demand, i.e. the medley Under The North Star, which was used in festival performances of a top team from Olari Gymnastics Association, having won seven World Championship gold medals.

Now it is the time to wrap up the sleeves and complete the album by producing and recording the 3 unfinished pieces, and also to complete all the tasks included in the complex process of a CD publication. However, for this effort I am going to need Your help, dear music lover! I am facing two intensive months of production (March-April), after which the album will be complete. The biggest upcoming expenses will include the studio rent, costs of mixing & mastering and the printing of the CD itself. The campaign will be crowned by a live concert for the publishing event, taking place in Cafe PIRITTA on 14th May, when You have the chance to experience the Magic Violin going live!

WHAT YOU WILL ENABLE BY SUPPORTING THE MAGIC VIOLIN

By taking part into financing of the Magic Violin, You will be the one who helps to bring publicity and existence for cross over violin music, a less known music genre in Finland. You will enabling the continuity of my life long work as a musician. I will consequently strive to offer people inspiration from the world of violin, highlighting the importance of handmade music and its great value as a hobby as well as a profession, for everybody’s delight and benefit.
By becoming my patron You will encourage me to believe that may I not only complete my album, but also proceed later into publishing a pedagogical opus of violin, representing young students the unlimited and fascinating potential of the violin!

Once it’s finished, my album will function as my visit card to the world, bringing more audiences and more invitations to perform at music festivals and events. Additionally, the profit from the CD sales will support my life as a musician and enable me to continue my vocation as a music performer, producer and pedagogue.

THE GOAL OF THE CAMPAIGN

There are quality items available according to the amount of your donation.
By taking part into financing the campaign, You will receive the album OR any other product/product package to your home by post. You have an interesting selection of fan products to choose form, i.e. postcards, mug or T-shirt with campaign logos and pics. In case of a CD – purchase, You will receive it before the official release date! If You desire to donate a bigger sum, you’re entitled for a private performance for your event! In case the minimum financial goal is not reached and therefore the album release remains undone, your donation will be returned back to You.

With the minimum goal of donations I will get the album released, and with the maximum goal I would also be able to cover the main costs of the publication concert. If the campaign does really well and exceeds the maximum goal, I would be able to pay myself a salary for part of my working hours included in the course of production.

I HOPE I GOT YOU ALONG TO THE ADVENTURES OF MAGIC VIOLIN!

You may listen to the only song from the album already published in Spotify as a single: “Siks’ oon mä suruinen” and follow up the process of Magic Violin production at its Facebook-page or in the blog of my site http://www.merviviolin.com/blog/, which offers more in-depth information and background stories of each and every piece in the album!

Hello!

I am Mikko Pettinen, a trumpet player, singer, keyboard player, composer and an arranger from Helsinki. I have been a professional musician for over 20 years and played in dozens of bands, orchestras and vocal groups like Umo Jazz Orchestra, Helsinki – Cotonou Ensemble, Higher Ground Vocals, MP4, Nat Newborn Big Time and Kerkko Koskinen Kollektiivi. About a million people heard me in The Voice Of Finland television show last year.

I have recorded three albums with my jazz quartet MP4, which won the 1st prize in the International jazz group competition in Getxo (Spain, 2002), and an acoustic duo album with an amazing guitarist Teemu Viinikainen. I have also won the 2nd prize in the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition in 2001 and played or sang on more than 100 albums (e.g. Redrama, Paleface, Mariska, Axl Smith, Higher Ground Movement, Kerkko Koskinen Kollektiivi, Asa, Anssi Kela, Antti Kleemola, Sandhja) over the years.

Still Happy – The Pasila Sessions

Mikko Pettinen & Happy People is my pride and joy, my own thing. I am the lead singer, keyboard player, trumpet soloist, composer and arranger of the band.

We have played about 20 gigs with Happy People and last year after a couple of very good festival gigs I had an idea to organize a studio live session with my band. I wanted to capture the energy and soulfulness of the live performance with a good studio quality sound. As a result we recorded 8 new tunes (7 originals of mine and my soulful rendition of the Ben E. King Classic Stand By Me) live in the studio in the Umo´s practice room in YLE´s (Finnish national radio) Radiotalo (Radiohouse) last autumn, companied by a small invited audience. At the same, all of the performances were filmed with professional video cameras.

I think we certainly managed to capture the magic on these sessions. The general atmosphere and the attitude between the musicians, the lightning guy, the sound engineer, the filming team and the live audience was truly wonderful!

A teaser from The Pasila sessions

We didn´t get any kind of grant for the session and there is no record companies involved; everything was organized by me for the love of music and for the passion and commitment I have for my music. Now I wish to publish this amazing material in a cd+dvd -package with your help. The campaign has three goals: the minimum goal is 3500 euros (cd), the medium goal is 5000 euroa (cd+dvd) and the maximum goal 8000 euros (cd+dvd+lp vinyl).

Happy People

Happy People 2015

The members of the Mikko Pettinen & Happy People are amazing musicians: great team players and extraordinary soloists. Happy People features a 4-piece horn section and a soulful vocal trio TriSis. On the Pasila sessions the original member of the TriSis, Jonnu Heikkilä, who also wrote the lyrics for 5 of the tunes, is replaced by an amazing Finnish soul singer Heini Ikonen.

“If our music will make you smile, we know our job is well done.”

– Happy People Theme (Everybody Get Up, written by Mikko Pettinen)

My compositions are combination of old school soul, funk, r&b, neosoul, jazz, gospel, pop and afrofunk and still have some Finnish ingredient on it. Some of my influences are Stevie Wonder, Tower Of Power, Earth, Wind & Fire, Steely Dan, Anthony Hamilton, Snarky Puppy and Jarrod Lawson.

Audiences´responses have always been enthusiastic and highly positive and supportive on our gigs. My debut album as a singer ”2Happy” has received dozens of very positive reviews and there are less than 100 copies of the cd-album left, but you can still get one as a campaign reward from here.

Mikko Pettinen & Happy People is:

Mikko Pettinen: lead vocals, Rhodes piano, keyboards, trumpet, flugelhorn
Janne Halonen: guitars, vocals
Sampo Tiittanen: bass
Jonatan Sarikoski: drums
William Suvanne: tenor saxophone, flute
Janne Toivonen: trumpet
Ilmari Pohjola: trombone
Timo Rantanen: baritone saxophone
Jepa Lambert: vocals
Heini Ikonen: vocals
Hanna-Maria Helenius: vocals, lead vocals with Mikko on Waiting (For My Change)

In addition to Live in Pasila session:

Markus Ketola: sound engineer, mixing, mastering
Heikki Kynsijärvi & Joni Laitinen: video production
Ville Pajala/DLS Entertainment: lightning design

The Goal

Our plan is to release all of the tunes as a cd and a dvd in the same package.

– If we will reach the minimum 3500€, we will release a cd

– If we will reach the medium goal 5000€, we can release a cd+dvd

– If we will reach the maximum goal 8000€, we will have enough money to pay for a promotion and release the music also as a vinyl and pay for the musicians who spent two very long days in the studio for free

Happy People

Why do we need the crowdfunding campaign for?

It is very hard, almost impossible to find a record company in Finland to release soul/funk music. The record companies release mostly commercial pop music in Finnish, yet Happy People’s music is not jazz enough for the small jazz labels (there aren´t too many of those either…). On the other hand, it is still too “pop” for the foundations that give grants for the art projects/releases. So my music is truly in the marginal and on the so called “grey area”. However, I believe that the most important thing about the development and the future of music is when the different styles and genres blend. That´s what happened in these sessions and I am really happy that we were able to do the sessions. I sincerely believe in my music and hope that it will make the world a little bit better place. Not to mention everyone wanted to do their best and even more at the sessions. So put on the good headphones, turn up the volume and listen to our videos and you´ll understand what I mean…

I truly believe that these sessions deserve to be released.

You can participate in a various ways:

1. You can preorder my cd for 20€ or the cd+dvd for 25€ with or without my autograph*
2. You can buy my 2Happy cd for 15€
3. You can preorder my cd or cd+dvd and get your name or your company´s name on the special thanks list on the cd and the dvd for 40€*
4. You can have your company´s logo printed on the cd+dvd package and on my website for 400€
5. You can order me to have a private gig at your party or at your house for 500€ (plus the travel expenses)
6. You can order my 5-piece Happy People Combo for the private gig for 2000€ (plus travel expenses)

* if we reach the minimum goal but not the medium goal, we’ll refund you the 5 euros difference

“Smoke smoke smoking!!!!!!!!!!!Please don’t call the firemen,Don’t dare to put water on this fire. Let it BURN, BURN ,BURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
-a YouTube comment for the video “Happy People Theme (Everybody Get Up)

Thank you for helping me to fulfill my dream and supporting new Finnish music.
