Pohjoismaisia klassikoita brasilialaisella twistillä! / De nordiska klassikerna i brasiliansk choro stil! / Nordic classics with a Brazilian twist! / Canções nórdicas tocadas em choro!

Nordic Choro is a Finnish-Brazilian music group, which was founded in the autumn of 2008. The debut album was released in 2010. At the moment the group is concentrating on Nordic classics, and it has arranged and changed some of them into Brazilian choro style. The upcoming album is already recorded and mixed, and now the group needs financial support to cover the final costs of the album and to arrange album release concerts in Finland.

Kallamarinan valkoinen rakennus on ympärivuotiseen käyttöön sopiva, ja siellä on jo järjestetty mm. sarjakuva-festivaalit, sirkusta, teatteriesityksiä sekä taidenäyttelyitä. Valkoisen rakennuksen yläkerrassa on avoin toimistotila nuorille toimijoille, yhdistyksille ja yrittäjille.

Tilojen yhteinen nimi on Satamankulma

Tiloja kehitetään talkootöillä, mutta kehittämisessä on myös kuluja, joihin haemme yhteisöllistä rahoitusta.

Sitä tarvitaan seuraaviin asioihin:

– Ilma-akrobatiarakenteet sirkusta varten

– Avoimen, yhteisöllisen konttori- ja kokoustilan varusteita varten.

– Nettiradiota varten tarvittavan laitteiston hankkimista varten.

– Säännöllisen avoimen jami-illan toteuttamista varten tekniikkaa.

– Elokuva- ja valokuvaustilojen varustelua varten tekniikkaa (mm. Greenscreen toiminnot)

– Äänitekniikkaa ja valotekniikkaa esitystoimintaa varten.

Tavoitteet

Tavoitteena on toteuttaa Satamankulman toiminnot ja palveluprosessit sopiviksi mahdollisimman moneen käyttöön niin, että tilat palvelevat hyvin niin kuopiolaisia kuin Kuopiossa vierailevia turisteja. Suunnittelussa ja toteutuksessa käytetään paikallisia muotoilu- ja muiden alojen yrittäjiä ja projekteissa on mukana myös opiskelijoita ja talkootyötä. Kaikessa käytetään mahdollisuuksien mukaan kierrätettyjä materiaaleja. Tapahtumien järjestämisessä ja tilojen käytössä huomioidaan kuopiolaisten tarpeita ja toiveita.

Taidetta ja elokuvia

Visiona on, että Kuopion satamasta löytyy sykkivä kulttuuritila, jonne voit poiketa, missä voi viettää aikaa tai järjestää itse ohjelmaa. Satamankulman kulttuuritila on laadukas käyntikohde myös turisteille.

Se on paikka, missä näkee huikeita sirkusesityksiä ja elävää teatteria, laadukkaita keikkoja, näyttelyitä ja performanesseja. Esiintyjinä niin maan ykkösartistit, paikalliset pienemmät toimijat, esimerkiksi sinä tai lähimmäisesi.

Vierasvenesatama

Vierasvenesatamassa yhdistyy niin viihde, taide ja veneily kuin teatteri, vapaa-aika ja työelämä. Mukana tuottamisessa on Anya Productions, Kuopion Sirkus, Kuopion Music Gear ry, Muotoilutoimisto Rissanen / Pekkanen sekä lukuisa joukko yksittäisiä taiteilijoita ja toimijoita. Satamankulman tilaa vuokrataan Kallanranta Oy:ltä ja sen toiminnan ylläpitämiseksi on monitaideyhdistys Satamankulma kehitteillä.

Satamankulman kulttuuritila edustaa Kuopiossa uutta, osallistavaa kaupunkiympäristö- ja konseptiajattelua, missä toimijat luovat sisällön sekä rakennusten, asuntojen ja kauppojen lisäksi kaupunkiin luodaan aktiivisesti Listening Post- areenoja, jossa kävijät yhdessä palveluntarjoajien kanssa luovat yhteistä todellisuutta, niin arkea kuin juhlaa.

Our aim is to cover the costs of a tourbus so the concerts in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Lithuania and Estonia could be possible. We do this for the music and hope to get a chance to show where a dedicated work with a large ensemble can lead to.

Markus Pesonen Hendectet is an inventive eleven-piece orchestra uniting an international group of musicians who weave their diverse musical skills into audacious patterns. Following the critically acclaimed release of Hum in 2011, the band is now releasing its second album, Padme, on the Danish label and musician-run collective Barefoot Records.

The band enlivens a vast sound terrain stretching from contrabass clarinet to piccolo and further expanded by electronics, where musicians create an electrifying spectrum of emotions and atmospheres. On a sonic journey to faraway places one gets to experience the Nordic inner landscape and an Indian traffic jam, wild sounds of the jungle and gentle bossa nova in Russian. Existing in the space between the extremities, Markus Pesonen Hendectet’s music brings a listener into acute awareness of the physical presence of sound.

A hendectet’s song enters into a spectacular chemical reaction with place and time, rejuvenating with each performance. That is, not only there’s room for improvisation, but also the process of composing continues on stage, being informed by improvisation and reacting to it. There are openings inside the compositions, which allow Pesonen as a conductor to take a lead and turn across traffic. Such twofold use of improvisation keeps up the heat of the band’s live performances.

Markus Pesonen is a composer, sound artist and visual artist, creating sound and visual experiences in different contexts, from concerts and exhibitions to performances and shared spaces. He composes and creates with several music groups and is also working with dance, theatre, movies and meditation. Markus believes in open wordless communication, making space for everyone to find their own meaning.

It is rare to tour independently with 11-piece band and I believe we can offer something unique into the selection of live music. In 2014 Markus exhibited in the Modern Art Museum of Mexico. One of his works was selected by Arte Vivo to be auctioned for the education and attention of the integral health of Mexico. He also exhibited in Bar Café 9 in Helsinki and Bucarelli 69 in Mexico City during 2014. In 2015 photography exhibitions will bring him to Xalapa, Cuernavaca and Mazatlán in Mexico as well as Los Angeles, London and Dublin.

Materiaali on kertynyt ja ensi vuoden puolella haluaisimme iskeä kyntemme debyyttialbumin tekoon. Tämän levyn studio- ja tuotantokustannuksiin olemme hakemassa rahoitusta. Rahoittamalla 25€ saat vastineeksi projektin toteutuessa debyyttialbumin nimmareilla sekä T-paidan.

Tapahtumatuotanto osaksi radion sisältöä ja toimintaa

Radio Autere on vuonna 2015 perustettu omarahoitteinen, itsenäinen ja vapaa paikallisradio Ylä-Pirkanmaalla, Keski-Suomen ja Hämeen rajalla. Radio kuuluu taajuudella 106,6 FM. Autere ei perusta soittolistoista; kanavalta kuulet yhtä lailla old school rock`n rollia, suomi rappia, punkrockia, metallia sekä uusinta tanssi- ja indie musiikkia. Nettiradion kautta Auteretta voivat kuunnella kaikki – missä päin maapalloa tahansa. Haluamme terävöittää toimintamme muista poikkeavaksi radioasemaksi. Se tarkoittaa sitä, että yhteisöt, yhtyeet ja kulttuurintekijät ylipäätään voivat kehittää omaa toimintaansa meidän avullamme. Haluamme huomioida tapahtumatoiminnassamme niin aikuiset, nuoret, lapset, vanhukset, vammaiset kuin maahanmuuttajatkin. Yhteistä kaikelle toiminnallemme on musiikillisten elämysten jakaminen ja väen koolle kutsuminen. Kesän aikana teimme useita satoja haastatteluja, juttuja ja olimme kymmenissä eri tapahtumissa mukana. Nettisivukävijöitä on ollut 53000 ja FB:ssa seuraajia on reilu 1100 henkilöä (8.10.2015). Eniten olemme saaneet kiitosta monipuolisesta musiikkitarjonnasta ja musiikin erikoisohjelmista. Ja tähän tulemme keskittymään myös jatkossa.

Sirja & Konfuusio on sydämeni, ääneni ja kommunikaationi väline, jonka pyrkimyksenä on aitous ja merkityksellisyys. Sitä kautta uskon antavani ajatusta, rehellisyyttä ja voimaa myös muille. Äänitimme ensimmäisen kappaleen Erehdys työhuoneellamme syksyllä 2014, jolloin kokoonpano myös vakiintui.

Olin tehnyt aikaisemmin musiikkia yksin ja tiesin heti, että nyt olin kohdannut oikeat ihmiset. Erehdys valittiin Radio Helsingin The New Music Shown viikon demoksi ja myös Soundi-lehti poimi sen demolaarista viikon parhaana. Erehdys inspiroi musiikkivideon tekoon: aloitin uskomattoman matkan ainutlaatuisen työryhmän kanssa. Video valittiin myös kilpailemaan parhaan musiikkivideon tittelistä Oulun Musiikkivideofestivaaleille.

Julkaisimme kahden kappaleen singlen Elämäsi Eteinen / Humallun Hurmiosta omakustanteena syyskuussa 2015. Äänitimme kappaleet niin ikään omalla työhuoneellamme. Miksasimme sekä tuotimme singlen käyttäen siihen paljon aikaa, rakkautta ja työtunteja. Voit kuunnella kappaleet alla olevasta linkistä:

Nyt haluamme antaa kuulijoille yhdeksän kappaletta kokonaisena albumina. Tyyli tulee jatkumaan omanlaisena: pyrkimys on aitoudessa ja työskentely tulee olemaan päämäärätietoista. Kappaleet ovat valmiiksi sovitettuja ja keikoilla testattuja, ja odottavat vain julkaisuaan.

Tuija Rantalainen is a singer­songwriter from Helsinki and in November she will release a new single and music video . The new song tells a story of an ordinary, homeless man and his dog. Last year Tuija spent some time in Paris and saw many homeless people with their dogs. The experience inspired her to create “Le Chien de Pont Neuf”.

Casting

The leading actor in Tuija’s video is ”Dakota”, a stray dog. The main male actor is Veini Nupponen. Also Tuija and her band’s musicians Timo Tuppurainen and
Juha Mäntylä perform on the video. Videos script was written by Tuija and Juha Sihtola will film and edit it.

Tuija Rantalainen

Tuija Rantalainen has released 4 albums and her songs can be heard in Radio Suomi and Swedens Sisuradio. Her genre is theatre music and storytelling and poor people are often the main characters in her songs. She makes music also for children.

Tuija needs funding to be able to cover all the costs for this new video. The money she
will get from YouTube will be donated for homeless people and organisation called Vailla Vakinaista Asuntoa ry.

Kesäisiin maisemiin vuoteen 1905 sijoittuva hulvaton, älykäs komedia Woody Allenin tuttuun tyyliin. William Shakespearealta ja Ingmar Bergmanilta vaikutteita ottava ihmissuhdekomedia rakkauden kaipuusta, seksistä ja siitä kuinka paljon vanha suola voi janottaa.

Teatteri Polte esittää oman versionsa alunperin elokuvana nähdystä näytelmästä, joka on esitetty viimeksi Suomessa vuonna 1994. Teatteri Poltteen lahjakkaat nuoret luovat avullasi Woody Allenin taianomaiset kesäpäivät Turun Kakolanmäelle kesällä 2015!

Miehiä Virralla is a calendar that has yet to be seen.

It’s an entirety that has been shot at Siuntiojoki during four seasons. The purpose is to bring forth the nowaday-hecticness and technological development that has suppressed the state of mind of the Finnish man.

One picture tells a lot, and a story that pours scorch smoke and wintertime log fire doesn’t need explaining. It’s a state of mind that’s part of the genome of every Finn. It’s the one thing that unites everyone in this country and its relentless nature.

I have often combined dance and visual narration as video projections in my dance works, and I have been asked many times why I don’t make a dance film. My answer has always been that I haven’t come up with a concept that called for that particular genre. An idea eventually arrived and finally I had the reason to do it. I very much hope that you will support the realisation of this project and be one of the first people to see where it takes us.”

What is the film going to be like?

SEE | OBEY consists of three independent narratives which run side-by-side as they portray human emotions, everyday events and conflicts through physical expression and movement. The stories are at once concrete and abstract, so a combination of dance and moving pictures is essential to give them full expression.

The passage of time in the stories is manipulated through cinematic methods, and moments that are gone in the blink of an eye find new depths when they are viewed in slow motion. This atmosphere can only be produced in a dance film and cannot be recreated on the stage.

The director of the film Jouka Valkama and choreographer Susanna Leinonen have combined in Leinonen’s previous works to create an imaginative visual vocabulary which awakens powerful associations. The videos that they have made together have acted as the inspiration for the creation of this independent dance film.

Where can the film be seen?

SEE | OBEY dance film will receive its first premiere on 14 November 2015 in Stoa the Cultural Centre of Eastern Helsinki. It will run until 22 November.

In Stoa the films will be projected onto two screens, with the stories moving from one screen to the other. There will also be another version of SEE | OBEY which has been modified for a single screen, and this will later tour dance film festivals at home and abroad. By funding this film you can also be among the first ones to see it from your own home.

What do we need funding for?

Two parts of the film were shot in June and the final and largest piece will be shot in August. The team will have an admirable amount of partners and volunteers, but still a lot of professionals from different fields are required, everything can’t be done by volunteers . Another big expense is the costumes: the large number of performers and the different decades portrayed by the costumes mean that the costs for filming in August will be high.

The film is produced and mainly funded by Susanna Leinonen Company, but additional funding is still needed to finish the film. This is where we need your help. We will use the funds collected by this campaign for wages, costs of costumes and props, equipment rents and postproduction.
