Norpas is an unusual culture festival for everyday people

Over the weekend of 21st – 23rd of August there will be music, live cinema, art exhibitions, sound installations, performances, circus and workshops in Taalintehdas.

In this old and historically rich industrial village the artistic events can be experienced more profoundly and closely than in a big city. As in any rock festival, in Norpas you can celebrate until late night but in the morning, if you’re feeling sensitive or dizzy, there are exhibitions, restaurants and more tranquile shows to be enjoyed.

In Norpas the artists and the public live the same moment, breathe the same air

This year’s main artists include the accordion champion Kimmo Pohjonen and the singer Ismo Alanko together with Spain’s most extraordinary flamenco singer Niño de Elche. Among other artists you will find the Finnish rock legend Tuomari Nurmio, Jukka & Jytämimmit, an indescribable Finnish rock trio, the Japanese-Spanish jazz group Takeo Takahashi Quartet, the clarinetist David Rothenberg from New York, and Luova Tuho, a catastrophic performance that combines music, dance and video. This crowdfunding project works as a pre-sale, and your rewards will be marked down from the original prices.
The rewards can be picked up at Rosala Handelsbod in Taalintehdas throughout August, or at the festival office during the festival.
